General News

We have started afternoon meetings howeverthe first two were not very well attended. I appreciate summer is a busy time for some and of course some of you earn a living! The dates of future planned afternoon meetings are listed in the diary. Maybe the visit will enable small groups to plan and work on projects etc.

After the Fareham exhibition Redbridge Wharf will be reinstalled and a programme for works planned for the winter months. At some point in November the Modular NG7 L&B layout will be put up in Redbridge Wharfs place to test continuity and plan future works etc. The L&B will stay up for 2 or 3 Wednesdays so members can look and help run it assuming all is well.

Redbridge Wharf

Redbridge Wharf is at last firmly ensconced in our new home, the open day in July was a great success with new members joining and keen to operate, so full steam ahead with improvements to the layout, training and operating, ready for our next outing.

Abbotstone

Abbotstone is available for running. Just take care if you intend to convert to DCC please, check all other locos are removed. We have some maintenance on scenic items to put right when time permits.
